FAQ

How does therapy work?

Therapy is a collaborative process. We meet regularly, with a cadence determined by your goals and where you are in the work, to explore what’s bringing you in, identify patterns, and work toward meaningful change. It’s a structured space to think more clearly about your life.

The first session is mostly about getting to know each other. I’ll ask about what’s bringing you in, your background, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. You’ll have space to ask questions too. It’s low pressure.

Sessions are $150 for a standard 55-minute appointment. Extended sessions are available on request. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for those with financial need.

I am currently private pay only. I can provide a superbill for clients who want to seek reimbursement from their insurance provider directly. Insurance credentialing is in progress.

It depends on what you’re working on. Some people reach their goals in a few months. Others find ongoing therapy valuable for years. We’ll talk about your goals early on and revisit them regularly.

Yes. All sessions are offered via telehealth to clients located in Colorado. In-person sessions in the Denver area are coming soon.

The best way to find out is a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll talk briefly about what you’re looking for and I’ll be honest with you about whether I think I can help.

I ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee.

I’m trained in CBT, DBT, and EMDR and draw from existential, humanistic, and depth psychology frameworks. The approach is tailored to each client rather than one-size-fits-all.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It’s an evidence-based therapy originally developed for trauma that helps the brain process distressing memories that haven’t been fully integrated. It’s one of the most well-researched trauma treatments available.
